Ceramic Nozzles For Cabinets & Portables

ALUMINUM OXIDE (Virgin)
Widely used as a cutting media. It can produce and “anchor” patter in preparation for recoating. It’s excellent for removing heavy foreign matter, deburring, frosting glass, and lettering stone. Aluminum Oxide is great in a blast cabinet as it can be reused numerous times. It is extremely fast cutting and is classified in various sizes for a wide selection of finishes.
SILICON CARBIDE
Extremely fast cutting, this sharp media is used for cleaning very hard surfaces such as tungsten carbide.
STEEL SHOT & GRIT
A solid round particle causing a peening action and producing a dimpled surface. Its heavy weight gives greater impact and hammering action for peening and cleaning heavy forgings and removing heat-treat scale.
STEEL GRIT
An angular abrasive, like thousands of tiny chisels and cutting tools. It produces an ideal surface for adherence of new coatings. Often shot and grit can be mixed to achieve different finishes.
GLASS
BEAD / SHOT
Available in a wide range of sizes, glass beads are generally the most popular media used in most cabinets today. This all-purpose media is used for honing, polishing, peening, blending, finishing, removing light burrs, and cleaning most light foreign matter such as carbon and other surface residues from pistons and valves with no base metal removal or dimensional change. It produces a bright satin finish. The applications are extensive, due to the wide range of sizes available.
NOVACITE / NOVACULITE
Typically used for “Wet Blasting”, Novacite is quartz silica.
COAL SLAG ABRASIVE
A recycled, fast cutting, low free silica, low dusting, and low friability blasting abrasive. A preferred alternative to Silica Sand or expensive alternate media.
PLASTIC ABRASIVE
This lightweight, angular media was originally developed to strip paint from aircrafts without damaging the thin grade of the original aircraft skin. Plastic media is usually used at a low pressure.
JETMAG ABRASIVE GRAIN
A synthetic olivine that offers excellent sanding quality and its cost/performance ratio is highly competitive. It allows either more rapid cleaning and/or reduces consumption of sand. It is a non-toxic material with less than 1% free silica. It offers greater productivity in enclosed work-places and is recyclable 3-4 times with a recycling system.
GREEN LIGHTNING
Produced from Olivine, it is a naturally occurring mineral composed of Forsterite and Fayalite. Hard, dense, and angular, Green Lightning will deliver up to 30% greater blast cleaning efficiency than most silica sand or slag abrasives and require less abrasive per square foot. It Contains less than one tenth of one percent free silica.
